SIXTEENTH CONGRESS OF THE INTERNATIONAL FEDERATION OF INFECTION CONTROL 16-19 MARCH 2016 | VIENNA, AUSTRIA CONFERENCE OVERVIEW The 16th Congress of the International Federation of Infection Control (IFIC2016) will run from Wednesday 16 March 2016 until Saturday 19 March 2016. The official language of the congress shall be English, while the plenary session and one parallel session will offer simultaneous interpretation to German. Early bird reduced fees will remain applicable until the 15 January 2016. All applications should be accompanied by payment of the full registration fee. ACCOMMODATION A range of hotel accommodation will be available in various categories and price ranges. Hotel bookings will be possible from 15 September 2015 via the congress website. This shall be achieved through a combination of symposia, stateof-the-art lectures, pro-con debates and industry organised sessions. The academic programme will be regularly updated on the congress website. IFIC conferences are recognised as venues for effective networking and sharing of experiences. Delegates will also have an extensive opportunity to share their research and experience through oral as well as poster presentations. ABSTRACT SUBMISSION Abstracts will be accepted through the conference website from 01 September 2015. The deadline for submission of abstract is 15 November 2015. The final decision will be communicated by 15 December 2015. Submissions can be either research based or practice oriented. IFIC SCHOLARSHIPS IFIC will again facilitate attendance through a number of scholarships. Further information can be obtained from the congress website as well as www.theific.org from 01 July 2015. The deadline for scholarship applications is 01 November 2015. INDUSTRY PARTICIPATION IFIC conferences are characterised by the participation of senior representatives from infection control societies worldwide and offer unique opportunites for industry to network with these key decision makers through participation in exhibition booths, symposia and other sponsorship possibilities.
