The Stop TB Symposium is co-organized by the WHO and the Stop TB Partnership and is dedicated to discussing the development process for the post-2015 TB strategy and targets within the larger context of global discussions on the post-2015 development agenda.
The event will include a brief ceremony at which the Kochon Prize 2012 will be awarded and, in the continuing tradition of the Stop TB symposia, an overview of the TB situation from the 2012 WHO Global TB Report.
The day continues with an introduction to the vision and proposed framework for the post-2015 TB strategy and possible targets for 2025, along with presentations from countries and partners on their experiences and perspectives.
