下周我去参加美国SHEA的年会，对4月份的杭州会议将有良好的影响

美国主要以感染病医生参加的医院感染学会（美国卫生保健流行病学协会，SHEA），将我入选为“国际感控大使”项目（International Ambassador Program），全球一共10人。我是中国唯一入选者。
作为入选大使，SHEA邀请我今年免费去美国参加2个会议：SHEA的感控年会（3月19～22日），SHEA与CDC合办的流行病学课程（5月2～5日），SHEA提供国际旅行费用和食宿费。
其实我更看重的是，我们学会可以与SHEA拉近关系，明年可以邀请相关顶级专家来我们的年会上讲学。

The Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America (SHEA) takes great pleasure in inviting you to participate in two educational meetings as part of the International Ambassador Program for which you have been selected.
The first meeting is SHEA’s 19th Annual Scientific Meeting, to be held March 19-22, 2009 at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel in San Diego, California. The program will consist of Workshops, Plenary Sessions, Symposia, Oral and Poster Abstract Presentations, and Meet-the-Consultant Sessions. An electronic copy of the program being presented at the meeting can be found on SHEA’s home page at http://shea-online.org/Assets/files/SHEA_2008_Prelim_Program.pdf. Please plan to arrive on March 18, 2009 and depart on the evening of March 22, 2009 if possible.
The second meeting is the SHEA/CDC Training Course in Healthcare Epidemiology, scheduled May 2-5, 2009 at the Omni Charlotte in Charlotte, North Carolina. The curriculum includes didactic lectures, problem case sessions, and practical sessions on statistical analysis and conducting a root-cause analysis. An electronic copy of the course curriculum can be found on SHEA’s website at http://www.shea-online.org/Assets/files/shea/cdc/Charlotte_Advert_Full_Brochure.pdf Please plan to arrive on May 1, 2009 and depart in the afternoon/evening of May 5, 2009, if possible.
SHEA will cover your meeting registration and lodging costs for these meetings and make these appropriate arrangements. In addition, SHEA will provide travel to these meetings.
