WINNER ANNOUNCEMENT: ASIA PACIFIC HAND HYGIENE EXCELLENCE AWARD 2012/2013
Congratulations! It is our pleasure to inform you that WEST CHINA HOSPITAL OF SICHUAN UNIVERSITY has been designated as a winner of the Asia Pacific Hand Hygiene Excellence Award 2012/2013.
The Asia Pacific Hand Hygiene Excellence Award was created in 2010 to recognize efforts made by hospitals in support of the WHO first Global Patient Safety Challenge: Clean Care is Safer Care .
After a thorough review of the documentation submitted by each participant, the finalists were nominated by the expert panel according to a rigorous selection process. The winner was selected following visits by two auditors from the expert review panel to your centre using the WHO Hand Hygiene Self ‐Assessment Framework.
We are pleased to confirm the participation of 2 persons from your department to the 6th International Congress of the Asia Pacific Society of Infection Control 2013 in Shanghai on 10 – 13 April 2013 to receive the Award. The expenses covered include:
1) registration fee of the 6th International Congress of the APSIC 2013
2) return economy class flight tickets for 2 persons to Shanghai, China
3) hotel accommodation for 4 nights
You are also requested to make a short presentation of no more than 8 minutes on the hand hygiene programme that you have put in place in your hospital. Further details will be provided to you at a later date.
With this Award, we hope that your centre will continue to show leadership and become a role model for other hospitals in your region to excel in hand hygiene.
