求助微生物学高手解答名词翻译问题(SOS)

最近在阅读微生物学文献中，在多篇文献发现“cloud baby” 和 “cloud adult”这两个名词，不知其中文的具体含义，敬望微生物学高手给予解答。
这两个词在一般的词典中翻译为“雾婴”和“云 成 人”，明显不符合其实际含义。而且就我阅读的文献中，这两个名词出现的频率较高，故在此郑重提出这一问题，希望得到完整的解答。谢谢。

cloud baby
Etymology: AS, clud + babe
a newborn who appears well and healthy but is a carrier of infectious bacterial or viral organisms. The infant may contaminate the surrounding environment as airborne droplets from the respiratory tract form clouds of the organisms. A cloud baby may be the source of a nursery epidemic, especially one caused by a staphylococcal organism.

应该是指将病毒、金葡菌通过空气传播污染周围空气的传染源。

是这个意思，但不知如何确切定义。原意是指细菌在空气中的传播。

谢谢，看来这又是一个惯用法问题。的确很难理解。

可悲的是新版《英汉医学词汇》(第3版)(2014年10月人卫出版)，都没有收录这个词汇。
