APIC and SHEA jointly submitted comments to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services on Phase 2 of the National Action Plan to Prevent Healthcare-Associated Infections. The comment letter included input on sections of the Action Plan related to Ambulatory Surgical Centers (ASCs), End-stage Renal Disease (ESRD) Facilities, and Influenza Vaccination of Healthcare Personnel. 6月26日，SHEA和APIC就预防医疗服务相关感染的第二期国家行动计划，一起想美国卫生和公共服务部递交了意见稿。 这份意见信中，就行动计划里关于救护车手术中心(ASCs), 终末期肾病(ESRD)机构，以及医疗服务人员的流感疫苗接种的部分，提出了意见。
