学校时上的循证医学与综述只是蜻蜓点水，只知道有这么一回事。没想到该课程这么丰富多彩，计划借论坛资源好好的跟老师们学习学习。既重拾丢失的英语，又接触新的知识领域。将初步了解的情况粘贴如下：

Cochrane Collaboration成立于1993年，是一个收集、总结和传播医学证据的国际协作组织，其标志性成果是医学证据的系统综述，并通过Cochrane Library向全世界传播。系统综述是决策需要的证据的主要来源。因此，Lancet杂志称Cochrane Collaboration为医学实践领域的人类基因组计划。已故英国流行病学家Archie Cochrane在20世纪70年代曾呼吁医学界应该系统地总结、传播和利用科学研究的证据，提高医疗卫生服务的质量和效率。Cochrane Collaboration正是建立在Cochrane的思想之上的一个组织。为了纪念Cochrane医生，该组织用Cochrane的姓氏命名了这个国际组织。
有人建议将Cochrane Collaboration译为“考科蓝协作”，意为考证科学证据的蓝图，既与Cochrane的名字音同，也表明了该组织的使命。（原文见预防医学专业第5版《流行病学》第20章：循证医学：第375页。）
