Indicator area 1: Surgical site infection (SSI)
简读:感染控制检测技术规程使用手册(2003.1)(部分内容)
Indicator area 1: Surgical site infection (SSI)
Surgical site infections (SSI) generally occur where a patient has had a recent
operation.
Patients most likely to develop a surgical site infection after surgery include
those who smoke, are overweight, have low immunity or a long history of a
chronic illness.
Good hygiene, diet and regular hand washing can help to avoid a surgical site
infection.
If you’ve already left hospital and symptoms such as significant discharge,
redness, swelling or increased pain near the operation site develop you
should contact your doctor who performed the surgery, GP or go to your local
emergency department.
The following tables show the number of surgical site infections reported for a
range of procedures and the number of times that procedure was performed
at participating hospitals in the given reporting time.
Reporting period 1 is January to June and reporting period 2 is July to
December.
The overall infection rate for that procedure is shown. In these graphs the rate
is reported as the rate per 100 procedures. Therefore, a rate of 2.4 indicates
that for every 100 patients who underwent that procedure during the reporting
period, 2.4 developed an infection at their operation site.
Data on surgical site infections are collected across NSW and reported for
peer groupings of hospitals. Peer groups are based on hospital size,
complexity and mix of services delivered. There are three groups of hospitals
- groups 1, 2 and 3. There is also a distinction between metropolitan and rural
hospitals in the data collection. NSW Health does not report on individual
hospitals.

不好意思,表格全乱了,上传PDF文件看吧。该表格描述了按国际疾病分类(10大类)的手术名称与部位,分别统计上、下半年的手术例次、感染例数和该类手术的SSI感染率。从2003年到2005年。
